Located on the main floor and highly visible to the Convocation Mall, The Media & Maker Commons at SFU’s W.A.C. Bennett Library was completed to foster innovation, collaboration, and hands-on creativity across disciplines.
WEE designed the electrical infrastructure to support a dynamic mixed-use educational facility. Our work included layout planning for lighting, power distribution, and ensuring visibility and utility both for high-tech tools and quieter book-arts / craft activities.

The space brings together media, maker, book arts, staff, and storage zones under one roof to support students, faculty, and staff in exploring new ideas. The result is a vibrant, flexible space that encourages participation, creativity, and the convergence of diverse modes of making.
